Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has won a record third straight Premier League Manager of the Month award following another good four weeks with the Blues. The Italian beat off competition from Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp to take the award for December after he steered Chelsea to six successive top-flight wins in the festive month.
The award comes after Conte was named as the Manager of the Month for October and November, meaning he is the first coach to win the gong three times in a row. Speaking about the accolade, Conte told Chelsea’s official website: “I’m very proud. It’s a great honour for me but I want to say thanks to all of my players, my staff and the club because we won the award together. Now it’s important to continue to work very well together.”
